Haryana Government & Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) may release the notification for conducting the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test later in 2021. Due to the Covid-19 2nd wave, almost all exams have been delayed or some of them were cancelled.
Recently, HTET was conducted successfully on 2nd January and 3rd January at the various centres in Haryana. The exam’s online application process can be delayed to has started today from 16th to November to 4th December 2020 via online application. The exam was expected to conduct in November, but due to Corona Virus Pandemic, the exam was postponed to January 2021.

- 7 April 2021: BSEH has released a list of candidates with pending results of HTET 2020 due to various reasons. Board also published notification of IRIS Biometric Verification for HTET-2020 along with the list of candidates which will be taken from 12 April 2021 to 16 April 2021 at BSEH, Bhiwani.
- 29 September 2020: The Government of Haryana has extended the validity of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) and State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) certificate from 5 years to 7 years.
What is HTET
HTET stands for Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test. It is also famous for its other name, i.e. Haryana TET. HTET is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Haryana (BSEH), Bhiwani. The Test is conducted annually for keen candidates who wish to make their career in teaching. The TET is necessary to be eligible to be a teacher in the government schools and other recognized schools by the Department of School Education. Earlier, before renaming HTET, it was termed as State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET). There are other state-level Teacher Eligibility Tests like PSTET, (Punjab) REET (Rajasthan), UPTET, MHTET (Maharashtra) etc. and a central level exam, i.e. CTET.
BSEH conducts this test at the following 3 Levels:

|Teachers of Classes I-V (Paper I)||Candidates for this category should have passed in Senior Secondary (or it is equivalent) with 45% marks with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.Ed) / four years B.El.Ed / two-year Diploma in Education in Special Education are also eligible. Alternatively, Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of two years Diploma in Elementary Education.|

How to Apply- Online Application
Those candidates who have decided to make their career in the Teaching line & those fulfil the eligibility & wanna serve the nation and build their careers by educating them. They all need to apply for the Online Applications/Registration by logging on to the official website at www.htet.nic.in.
They are also informed that be careful while filling up the Online Applications.
- Step 1: Go to the official website of BSEH i.e. bseh.org.in and click on the link label with HTET Online Registration.
- Step 2: Read all the instructions and click on the submit button.
- Step 3: Fill the application form with correct detail and submit. Write down and save the generated login ID and password for further steps.
- Step 4: Upload the recent scanned photo and signature.
- Step 5: Pay the application fee one of these steps i.e. Net-banking, Debit/Credit Card, Bank Challan and Submit after rechecking the complete detail.
- Step 6: Save and Print the system generated copy of the Application form and Application fee receipt for future reference.

Those candidates who have applied can download their admit card from the official website 2 weeks before the examination. Admit Card cum Roll numbers are compulsory for all applicants to sit in the examination hall. Admit Cards can be download from the link below:
Applicants who appeared in exams for Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test can see the result on Board’s official website. The expected date for the result is within a month after the examination. To see the result, candidates need a roll number. If any candidate forgets his/her roll number can also see his result with the registration number. The registration number can be found on the phone number and email ID which has given at the time of registration. The candidates need 60% (90 marks) for all except SC/PH ( 55%/82 marks) to qualify for the exam.
HTET Certificate Validity Period
The HTET certificate validity period for qualifying candidates is
five years (Now 7 years) from the date of declaration of its result for all categories. There is no restriction on the number of attempts for eligible candidates. Those candidates who already qualified for the exam can reattempt the exam for improvement.
The Candidates appearing in the final year of the Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) are eligible for Level 2 (TGT) and Level 3 (PGT) Exam.
The questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying one mark each. There is no negative marking for the wrong answer.
